Versatility: The long list for the World Championships in Aachen has been announced
Germany’s Candidates for the World Eventing Championships in Aachen
In Aachen, Julia Krajewski’s Nickel 2024 celebrated its first major victory. Now the pair has a good chance of competing as two-time German champions at the World Championships at the Soers.

Luhmühlen was the first step toward the World Championships in Aachen. The team that will ultimately compete in Aachen will be announced after the final selection event: the Nations Cup tournament in Avenches, Switzerland, from July 16 to 19.
Not on the list
Two names are missing from the list that one would have expected to see after the 2025 season: European team champions Jérôme Robiné and Black Ice, as well as Calvin Böckmann and The Phantom Of The Opera, who, as individual competitors, finished fourth—the second-best German pair—at last year’s European Championships and were alternates for the 2024 Olympic Games.
In both cases, the horses are not in good shape.
Good news for Calvin Böckmann: He can look forward to competing in the first U25 World Championships in Millstreet. The longlist for that was also announced today.
