CCI2* Luhmühlen
Lara de Liederkerke-Meier wins with world champion, strong performance from 16-year-old Heine
World champion on course: Tara van het Leliehof and Lara de Liederkerke-Meier won in Luhmühlen. Photo: Christiane Jahnke Lara de Liederkerke-Meier had two young horses with her for the CCI2* in Luhmühlen, the eight-year-old French daughter of Catoki, Chantelle QC Z, with whom she finished 18th after a knockdown in the course but a clear round, and last year’s World Champion of young eventing horses, Tara van het Leliehof, now a seven-year-old. The latter proved once again today what an exceptional horse she is.
In the middle of last year, Lara de Liederkerke took over the Belgian Comme il faut granddaughter (by Pegase van’t Ruytershof) from the Italian Cecilia Magni. Since then, they have competed in four CCI competitions – not including this weekend in Luhmühlen – winning three times and finishing tenth once. With their fourth victory, they jumped to the title at the World Championships for six-year-old eventing horses. Not once in her career has the black mare had an obstacle fault in the cross-country and in three of her four appearances with Lara de Liederkerke she was within the time allowed. Today was no exception.
The pair won the CCI2*-S in Luhmühlen with their dressage score of 27.4 minus points. Second place went to the Italian rider Paolo Mario Simone and the nine-year-old KWPN mare Miss Bumblebee, also with a dressage score of 29.2 minus points.
Like the winning pair, Berit Schulz and the twelve-year-old Holstein mare Caja by Cassilano had 27.4 penalty points in the dressage arena, but picked up two time faults in the cross, placing third ahead of Antonia Baumgart and Lamango, who had been awarded 29.6 penalty points in the dressage arena, which was also their final score.
Heine unbeatable

Jona Isabell Heine (16) from Ammersbek in Schleswig-Holstein has been riding internationally in the bush since 2024 and has had the 16-year-old Hanoverian mare Chantilly by Catoki under her saddle since 2025 – a match! In eight international starts to date, they have only had one obstacle fault in cross-country. At their first German Youth Championships, they came ninth in the junior class. They ended the 2025 season with a start-to-finish victory in the junior competition in Strzegom.
And they kicked off the 2026 season with a victory today. After the dressage, their 30.8 penalty points were just good enough for twelfth place, but they were one of only five pairs to finish both the course and the cross-country without any time or obstacle faults. That meant victory in the end.
Although Iliane Hannalisa Hein and the Brandenburger Quaterback son Akeby’s Quemiro Silla also had 30.8 minus points, the better placing in the cross-country decided who won and who lost at the top.
Greta Reinstorf (18) and the 14-year-old Hanoverian mare Ilara W had conjured up the best dressage in the heather sand: 27.4 penalty points. However, 3.6 time faults in the cross-country dropped them back to third place (31.0). Anyone who associates the name Reintorf/Ilara W with another rider’s first name is not wrong. The mare was Greta’s older sister Paula’s number one for several years, who competed three times at the U21 European Championships with the inline skating daughter and brought home two silver and one bronze medal.
