Following his injury, Marcus Ehning will open the international show season a little late next weekend.

For his first international start since the World Cup tournament in London shortly before Christmas, Marcus Ehning has chosen the Saut Hermès in Paris, the five-star tournament at the Grand Palais in the French capital.

In January, Marcus Ehning announced that he would be out of action for several weeks due to a knee injury. In the meantime, his horses were kept fit by his brother Johannes and sister-in-law Kaya. Four weeks ago, Ehning competed once at home in Borken and rode Askala and Baloubets Rose Dree Böken in medium and advanced level show jumping competitions. After that, however, he had to retire again. Now he is on the list of participants for the Saut Hermès. The three-time World Cup winner plans to ride Flower Girl and Priam du Roset there.

Also competing from Germany are Christian Ahlmann with Dourkhan Hero Z and Vivario JL Z, Kendra Claricia Brinkop on Dawa de Greenbay Z and Gatsby Le Magnific, Daniel Deußer with Bingo Ste Hermelle and Pepita van’t Meulenhof BR and Philipp Weishaupt in the saddle on Lady Concern de Rezidal and Oreo D.R..
