This is very sad news. Stefanie Löhmann made a name for herself as a dressage horse breeder with a small but excellent breeding program. Now, after a long battle, she has succumbed to cancer.

Beatrice Hoffrogge’s Vice World Champion Destello OLD, the 2025 World Championships six-year-old Emoji JCD SL (Camille Judet Cheret/Corentin Pottier), the licensed Bonds sons Bueno SL and Bernstein SL and numerous other successful horses in sport and breeding were bred by Stefanie Löhmann.

Yesterday, her husband Jörg shared the sad news on his wife’s Facebook page. He is mourning together with his daughters Maya and Dana and a grandchild.

Stefanie Löhmann had a large following on Facebook, where she also spoke openly about her illness. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May 2023. She did everything she could to beat the disease. But at the end of 2025, she publicly announced that there was no more hope. Yesterday came the news from her husband Jörg.
