In Ben Maher, we have now found an exceptional rider who harmonizes with both of them,” says Kutscher.
He was still competing with Catelly at the Global Champions Tour tournament in Miami. Aventador S had also traveled to the USA. However, instead of traveling on to Mexico for the second Global Champions Tour stage on the American continent, the pair stayed in Florida, where Ben Maher had already presented them in competition last weekend.
With Aventador S, the current number four in the world rankings was placed fourth in a national Grand Prix with two clear rounds. With Catelly, the British rider had one knockdown in the normal course in the same jumping competition, but was also still in the money.
Successes with Marco Kutscher
Marco Kutscher has had a number of successes with both Aventador S and Catelly in recent years.

Catelly is a 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding by Cataldo bred by Wulf-Hinrich Hamann. Linn Hamann presented him internationally in competitions up to 1.50 meters. Catelly then spent around a year with the Dane Lars Bak Andersen, under whom he collected his first five-star placings.
Marco Kutscher took over Catelly in the fall of 2024 and took placings with him in Leipzig, Gothenburg, Mexico, Paris, the Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix in Prague, etc. However, the best successes were probably the clear rounds that the pair completed for Germany in the Nations Cups in Hickstead, Dublin and most recently Abu Dhabi.
Aventador S is a 13-year-old OS stallion by Armitage. Marco Kutscher took him over from Otto Vaske as Younster and presented him at his first international shows at the age of nine. They carefully felt their way forward, but were already able to record several placings in Grand Prix competitions over 1.45 meters in their first season. The 2023 season began directly with a fifth place in the World Cup show jumping competition in Leipzig. It was the stallion’s first competition over 1.60 meters. This was followed later in the year by a victory in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Pinneberg, a third place in Münster and so on. Their greatest success was victory in the Global Champions Tour show jumping competition in Madrid 2025. Their last competition was a 1.50-metre show jumping competition at the Nations Cup in Abu Dhabi, which they also won.
“In sporting terms, a sale like this always leaves a gap, of course,” admits Kutscher. But he already has hope for the future in his stable. “I have several good eight-year-olds that I think a lot of. There’s also Lemar, who has already done great things with Markus Renzel.”
Lemar’s full name is Pikeur Lemar NRW and he is an eleven-year-old Westphalian by Los Angeles bred by Wolfgang Brinkmann. Markus Renzel trained him and was highly successful from the Youngster Tour to third place in the Nations Cup Final at Avenches 2025, which was their last show.
Marco Kutscher then took over the gelding. The two are still in the discovery phase, but it is going very promisingly. Most recently they were double clear and placed in the CSI2* Grand Prix at Riesenbeck.
