Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de On March 7 and 8, 2026, Xenophon invites you to its big anniversary at the Main and State Stud Marbach. Dr. Astrid von Velsen-Zerweck was one of the founding members of the association in 2006. The idea then, as now, was to promote and encourage horse-friendly training in the spirit of classical riding theory. This is exactly what the anniversary event is all about. The focus will be on a practical seminar with Grand Prix trainer Uta Gräf and her husband, veterinarian and long rein expert Stefan Schneider. The motto is:
“Train and gymnasticize horses and develop lessons with ease”
They will bring along several horses with different physical and mental requirements and show how they have responded to the different characteristics of their horses and what their path together has looked like – Uta Gräf from the saddle and Stefan Schneider working on the long reins. Riding master Martin Plewa, member of the supervisory board of Xenophon e.V., will moderate the event. Questions and discussions are expressly encouraged! This practical seminar is recognized as a trainer training course with 4 learning units.
Supporting program
The practical seminar with Uta Gräf and Stefan Schneider is scheduled for 1.30 pm. However, we are already meeting at 10 a.m. for the general meeting. If you wish, you are welcome to arrive the day before and take part in the stallion presentation at the Marbach State Stud. This is free of charge for Xenophon members. However, registration is requested and there are only a limited number of places available – first come, first served!
