German Para-Dressage Team Named for the World Equestrian Games in Aachen

The DOKR Para-Dressage Advisory Board has selected the following team roster under national team coach Silke Fütterer-Sommer:

• Heidemarie Dresing (Rheda-Wiedenbrück / Grade II) with Poesie (Breeder: Dirk Schmidt / Owners: Heidemarie Dresing and Nadine Plaster) and Horse24Dooloop (Breeder: PFERD24 GmbH / Owners: Heidemarie Dresing and Nadine Plaster)


• Regine Mispelkamp (Geldern / Grade V) riding Pramwaldhof’s Bayala (breeder: Hubert Ratermann/owner: Gestüt Pramwaldhof GmbH, Dr. Ingrid Pretsch, and the German Olympic Equestrian Committee) and Highlander Delight’s ( breeder: P.G. van Berkel/owner: Regine Mispelkamp)


• Helen Brandt (Lindlar / Grade IV) with Vulkan Vegas IB (Breeder: Albert Schulze Topphoff / Owner: Helen Brandt)


• Anna-Lena Niehues (Gronau / Grade V) riding Vive L’amour (Breeder: Josef Decking / Owners: Sportpferde Im Brook GmbH & Co. KG and Timo Niehues)

Both Heidemarie Dresing and Regine Mispelkamp were part of the team that sensationally won gold at last year’s European Championships—Dresing with “Poesie” and Mispelkamp with “Bayala.”

Helen Brandt, on the other hand, had never competed in a championship before and competed in her first international season in para-dressage in 2025. Anna-Lena Niehues was part of the bronze-medal-winning team at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris and had already competed at the 2022 World Championships, though at that time she rode Quimbaya.
