Following the CCIP2* in Strzegom last weekend, the nominations for the European Pony Eventing Championships were announced.

For the European Pony Eventing Championships, which will take place from July 28 to August 2 in Le Mans (FRA), the FN Eventing Committee has nominated six pairs, five of whom are set to make their European Championship debut:

  • Lea Brügger (14) with Golden Girls Nelly or Next Generation > Last year, Lea was part of the European Championship team that won bronze at Le Mans with Next Generation, but she was eliminated. Her two mares had already enjoyed great success with her sister Sina.

  • Charlotte Eilers (15) with Nadeshi > While Charlotte is making her European Championship debut, Nadeshi was part of the team in Strzegom in 2019 with Jette Lakeberg.

  • Justus Hayessen (14) with Miss Windsor > This will also be Justus’s debut in the Le Mans Championship. In fact, it’s the first season that Miss Windsor and the junior rider from Hesse have competed together. Miss Windsor, on the other hand, has already helped Pia Sophie Schreiber and Anna Schwanbeck achieve several successes.

  • Anna von Helldorff (14) with Marlon > Anna and Marlon are in their second international season. However, 17-year-old Marlon is one of the more experienced horses on the team. Under his previous rider, Nell Röming, he competed in two European Championships, winning gold in 2023 and finishing twelfth in 2024.

  • Greta Marie Löhr (13) with Rathcline Dream > A pair that has finished in the top ten all three times they’ve competed internationally. The 16-year-old Rathcline Dream has competed in three European Championships with three different riders: in 2019 with Lisa Joosse for the Netherlands, in 2022 with Linn Marie Schlütter (silver), and in 2024 with Imke Schlütter.

  • Franziska Niehoff (16) with Metallica SGN > Both the rider and the pony have competed in only three international tournaments so far

The alternates are Anna Katharina Thomasmeyer riding Schwuppdiwupp WES and Charlotte Margaretha Rixen riding Canal Daisy.

The team will consist of four team riders and two individual riders.
