Balve today was not the first time that the Hanoverian stallion Sky had competed in the Nuremberg Burg Cup. But it was the first time that he led a lap of honor. And it was his first start with his new rider Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock.

Until last year, the now eight-year-old Hanoverian stallion Sky by Sezuan from Gut Schönweide was still presented by Ann-Kathrin Lachemann. But after she moved south to the Meggle stables, the Gasser family hired Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock to ride their star in the stallion stable.

Sky had competed with Lachemann in two Nuremberg Burg Pokal stages in 2025. Only seven years old at the time, he failed to qualify for the actual competition at his first appearance in Elmlohe. Things went much better in Görlitz. Here they came fourth in the qualifier. But they were still a long way off a ticket in Frankfurt, finishing 13th in the classification. Instead, the beautiful chestnut became the superior Bundeschampion of seven-year-old dressage horses in Warendorf with an outstanding performance. It was the stallion’s last show to date.

Premiere in Balve

Today in Balve, Bianca Nova-Auenbrock and Sky competed in their first competition together, again in the Nuremberg Burg Cup. And they won straight away. Their harmonious, solid performance with highlights in the trot work, where the reinforcement and traversals even received scores of up to 8.5 and 9, and a largely fault-free canter (except for the four-in-hand changes) was awarded 73.293 percent. A successful debut for the new pair.

Two pairs who are known for their harmonious performances also lined up behind them: Raphael Netz on the Glamourdale son Glamourdoc (72.317) and Franziska Haase with Alissimo (71.658). Both riders have already been awarded style prizes.
