Ingrid Klimke cannot take part in the German Championships in Balve with Vayron. The gelding is still recovering from an injury. His absence could also have consequences for Ingrid Klimke's possible participation in the World Championships.

Ingrid Klimke will not be able to take part in the German Dressage Championships in Balve this year. Her horse, Vayron, had been injured before the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg. As Dressursport Kim reports, the Westphalian will not be able to take part in the competitions in Balve. Co-Bundestrainer Hendrik Lochthowe confirmed at the request of EQUI PAGES that Ingrid Klimke had informed him of this.

Last year, the Westphalian was part of the team that won the team gold medal at the European Championships in Crozet. In Hagen at Horses & Dreams, the pair made a promising start to the green season with more than 75 percent in the Grand Prix. Ingrid Klimke and the Vitalis son, who was eighth at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris under Daniel Bachmann Andersen from Denmark, are among the potential candidates for the World Championships. However, a start in Balve is actually a prerequisite for a nomination.

However, the list of exceptions is about as long as the list of horses that actually competed in Balve in all three classes, Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and Freestyle. Ultimately, the Dressage Committee will decide on the proposals that national coach Monica Theodorescu will put forward to the committee at the time of nomination.
