No Nations Cup in Hagen for Dante's Pearl and Charlott-Maria Schürmann; Raphael Netz Steps In
Hagen Nations Cup in Dressage: Schürmann Out, Netz In
Charlott-Maria Schürmann and Dante's Pearl in Balve.
Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de According to the FN, Dante’s Pearl, whom Charlott-Maria Schürmann rode to a bronze medal in the Grand Prix Special at the German Championships in Balve, is not “fit to compete.” As a result, the pair will not make their Nations Cup debut as planned at the second World Championship qualifier in Hagen. According to the FN, this decision was made jointly by team veterinarian Dr. Anna Rötting, rider Charlott-Maria Schürmann, Monica Theodorescu, and team manager Klaus Roeser.
Raphael Netz will replace Schürmann on Great Escape Camelot, so the team for the Nations Cup in Hagen now looks as follows:
- Raphael Netz with Great Escape Camelot (Reserve: DSP Dieudonné)
- Semmieke Rothenberger with Farrington
- Isabell Werth with Wendy de Fontaine
- Frederic Wandres with Bluetooth OLD
First substitute for the team: Tobias Nabben and Forster.
The Nations Cup in dressage in Hagen is scheduled for Friday, July 3. For the German dressage riders, this is the second qualifying event on the road to the World Championships. Pairs who missed the first World Championship qualifier in Balve, such as Katharina Hemmer and Denoix, have another chance here to put themselves in contention for the World Championships. In this respect, it is not only the CDIO Tour in Hagen that is interesting with regard to Aachen, but above all the CDI4* Tour.
Competing for Germany here, alongside Hemmer and Denoix, are, among others, the Werndl siblings with Times Kismet and Quick Decision, who had to leave Balve early because Quick Decision had come down with a fever.
