The Maas J. Hell stallion station in Klein Offenseth is hosting a dressage show this weekend. Also taking part: Rose Oatley and Alive and Kicking.

Very early this morning, at eight o’clock, the highlight of the weekend was on the program in Klein Offenseth, the Intermédiaire II. At 9 a.m., the pair that everyone was most excited about entered the arena: Rose Oatley and Alive and Kicking. Just a few days ago it was announced that the sale to the Oatley family was the reason why three-time Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin did not take up her starting place with the Westphalian All at Once daughter at the World Cup Final in Fort Worth. Today was “Audrey’s” show debut with her new rider.

They won the test with a whopping 75.351 percent, scoring eighth in all Grand Prix lessons. Rose wrote on her Facebook page: “Oh Audrey, I’m speechless! Can someone pinch me?”

The 19-year-old Rose, who has been a regular in the winning European Championship teams of all age groups in recent years, competed in her first Grand Prix tests in 2025, partly with Feldrose, trained by Emma Kanerva, and partly with the gelding Huan from her Olympic-experienced mother Kristy. A year ago in Scharnbeck, Rose scored 73.370 percent with Feldrose. So today was not only her first victory with Alive and Kicking, but also one of her personal best results.

Rose did not take part in the Piaff-Förderpreis Sichtung 2026. But with Debütant PS she is nominated for the Prize of the Best Young Riders in Warendorf.
