Medingen Klosterhof Auction: National Champion Global Hope and exclusive dressage horses on offer, master class with Benjamin Werndl

On October 31, 2026, Klosterhof Medingen will offer 19 exclusive dressage horses ranging in age from three to six years—from the Bundeschampion Global Player, with successes at the M level, to a three-year-old diamond in the rough with all the potential for the big arena.

19 dressage horses in the collection at the auction at Klosterhof Medingen

The collection has been hand-selected. Nearly all of the horses have already enjoyed success at competitions, depending on their level of training. No compromises were made regarding the quality of their basic gaits. Careful training leading up to the auction guarantees future success with a horse purchased at Klosterhof Medingen.

Horses such as the Grand Prix winner High Five, finalists in the Nuremberg Burg Cup and the Louisdor Prize, such as Feldrose FRH and Bond Girl, or the Hanoverian champion Fürst FRH, as well as many promising young horses that competed at the National Championships, began their careers at Klosterhof Medingen.

In the current collection, it’s not just the No. 1—the Bundeschampion Global Hope—that meets the highest standards. Many of the horses on offer have that certain something; some are—and this is no empty phrase—destined for greater things. Several of the auction horses stand out with clear Grand Prix potential.

There are several opportunities to see the horses in person. You can also take a closer look at “your” candidate online.

Three licensed stallions at the Klosterhof Medingen auction

In addition to Global Hope, the auction lot includes two other licensed high-potential stallions: The three-year-old Enrico is sired by World Championship finalist Escaneno—whose first crop is currently causing quite a stir—and is also a half-brother to a premium stallion.

With his glossy black coat, Stradivari —a charmer from a maternal line that has produced many S-level dressage horses—is winning the hearts of dressage fans. He received his licensing certificate from the Westphalian Horse Stud Book.

Quality, rideability, training, and potential—key characteristics of the auction horses, which are now available for test rides at Klosterhof Medingen.

Videos of all auction horses can be found at horse24.com or on the Klosterhof Medingen website.

Tip of the Day: VALENTINO

Valentino has won multiple riding horse classes and has also placed successfully in a Class A dressage horse class. With his beautiful conformation and excellent movements, Valentino embodies the perfect sport horse.

Klosterhof Medingen Auction Presents a Master Class with Benjamin Werndl

Before the auction on Saturday, October 31, there will be another equestrian treat starting at 3:00 p.m.: Benjamin Werndl, a champion rider for Germany, fourth-place finisher at the 2022 World Championships, and coach, will present the philosophy he practices day in and day out in Aubenhausen alongside his sister, Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, to the (undoubtedly not only) North German audience. He will offer an exclusive look into training and working with sport horses—from young dressage horses all the way up to the Grand Prix level.

Tickets for the master class with Benjamin Werndl are available at Ticketmaster.
