After winning the Grand Prix, Carina Harnisch and DSP Sheldon Cooper also took first place in the freestyle at Gut Ising

Carina Harnisch and DSP Sheldon Cooper (11 years old, by Sezuan) had already set a personal best at the Grand Prix at Gut Ising—not only in terms of their score but also in terms of the ride itself. Today in the freestyle, the 2024 Louisdor Prize winners managed to take it up a notch. It was their second dance to music, and they came within a hair’s breadth of the 80 percent mark, scoring 79.875. By comparison: At their freestyle debut in Balve this year—their first German Championship—they had scored 75.075 percent.

In an interview with Kim Kreling, Harnisch said she had started trusting her gut instincts again—apparently a recipe for success.

The complete top three

. Second place went to another former Louisdor Prize pair—Yara Reichert and her Swedish Skovens Rafael son, Springbank II, who scored 76.958 percent.

Coming in third place, narrowly beaten with a score of 76.875 percent, was another local Bavarian favorite: Franz Trischberger riding the 17-year-old Hanoverian Sanrio by San Remo.
