Sandra Auffarth Finishes Fourth in Show Jumping at the Global Tour Stop in Valkenswaard

The 11-year-old Comcador OLD is not only Sandra Auffarth’s second option for top-level competition alongside her World Cup horse Quirici H, but also another breeding flagship for the family.
Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de A 1.50-meter jumping competition with a jump-off took place between yesterday’s Global Champions League leg in Valkenswaard and tomorrow’s Global Champions Tour event. For the event, Sandra Auffarth had saddled her homebred OS gelding Comcador, who did not disappoint: a clear round, the fourth-fastest time for the 11-year-old son of Comme il faut, and the new riding champion, finishing in fourth place.
Eduardo Pareira de Menezes and Messentus PS, representing Brazil, were the fastest in the jump-off. Kevin Jochems, riding Casquetto van de Helle, took second place, flying the Dutch and Belgian flags (the latter for the owner of the Holsteiner gelding, the Van De Helle Stud). Third place went to Ireland’s Mark McAuley on Rossi van de Heffinck, a son of Diamant de Semilly.
Philipp Weishaupt and Callao L, who had won yesterday, were the fastest today with four faults in the first round, placing them in tenth place. Daniel Deußer and Bingo Ste Hermelle, with one knockdown, also finished in the money in 13th place.
