Germany is also among the medal contenders in show jumping at the 2026 World Equestrian Games in Aachen. Two pairs that have already won the Aachen Grand Prix, another Aachen winner, and this year’s third-place finisher are expected to lead the charge.
The Jumping Committee nominated the following pairs:
- Daniel Deußer and Otello de Guldenboom ( breeder: Hgo Versnick; owners: Daniel Deußer and Stephex Stables) (runner-up in the World Cup Final)
- Sophie Hinners and Iron Dames Singclair (Breeder: J. AB Wannius / Owner: Pegase Equestrian BV)
- André Thieme and DSP Chakaria (Breeder: Martin Jürgens / Owner: Pferdemanagement & Marketing GmbH) (Aachen Champion 2024)
- Richard Vogel and United Touch S (Breeder: Julius-Peter Sinnack / Owner: Julius-Peter Sinnack) (current Aachen champions)
- 1. Reserve: Marcus Ehning and Coolio (Breeder: Martina Wirtz / Owners: Marcus Ehning and Elm Rock BV)
- 2. Reserve: Christian Kukuk and Checker (Breeder: Wolfgang Kipp / Owner: Madeleine Winter-Schulze)
The fact that Marcus Ehning is the first reserve means that he will participate in the first warm-up jumping session.
