The judges gave Kismet and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl 78.470 percent for their very first freestyle together at the CDI Bedizzole. All five judges had the duo at the top of the field. The judge at C even gave them 81 percent. The lowest score was 77.350 percent at medium.
The four-time Olympic champion and her future hope “Kiss” thus clearly left Italy’s long-time number one in the arena, Valentina Truppa, with the 14-year-old Hanoverian Sandro Hit son Smile di Fonteabeti, who she trained herself. The score here was 72.380 percent.
Third place (69.535) went to Katrin Burger and her Lusitano Incrivel, another pair from Germany.
Three international victories
With today’s success, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and the eleven-year-old Ampere daughter Kismet now have three victories at two international shows to their name. In Ornago they won the Special, and this weekend in Bedizzole they won the Grand Prix and Freestyle. A very promising start to the season, especially as the mare had never ridden a long Grand Prix before last year. An important step for the four-time Olympic champion, especially after the terrible loss of her future hope Diallo, for whom she and Uta Gräf as his trainer were awarded the Otto Lörke Prize last year.
