Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de During the winter months, Julia Krajewski and her horses were stationed at her partner Pietro Roman’s facility, which is also located in the outskirts of the Italian capital. Accordingly, she and her horses are familiar with the hilly terrain. She had five of her future hopes with her this weekend.
CCI1*
In the CCI1*, she was already in the lead after the dressage with the Hanoverian gelding Fox Tonic by Nathan de la Tour. The 27.8 minus points they were awarded remained the same. A start-to-finish victory for the only six-year-old gray.
The one year older Bundeschampionesse Ajana did not add any further penalty points to her dressage result either. After the dressage, 32.10 penalty points still put her in fifth place, but in the end she finished second.
CCI2*-S
Julia Krajewski presented three horses in the two-star short test and was still in first, second and third place with them after the cross-country. However, one knockdown each in the course of the eight-year-old Selle Français gelding Intouchable Tonic by Upsilon and the seven-year-old Hickstead Light GD by Hickstead White meant that instead of finishing in the top three with their dressage result, they came sixth and seventh with 31.30 and 32.10 penalty points respectively.
However, Krajewski’s nine-year-old Chilli Morning clone Chilli Morning II delivered. The genetic counterpart to William Fox-Pitt’s successful Brandenburg-bred stallion (by Phantomic-Kolibri) brought his dressage score of 26.30 minus points to the finish line and also landed a start-to-finish victory.
Zoe Deusing and her twelve-year-old Hanoverian mare Alemania were also delighted with their fourth place dressage result. The DSP Araldik daughter scored 30.70 minus points in the dressage arena and that was also the final result.
CC3*-S/-L
The three-star classes were firmly in the hands of the hosts. In the short format, Sarah Giulia Goldschlag and Tintoretto del Quadrifoglio jumped to the top of the field (42.20). In the long test, Caterina Rumi and Areliana were unbeatable (44.80).
