After winning her first international Grand Prix yesterday, Helen Langehanenberg's Ascenzione went one better today in the Special. And not only her.

Yes, she can! After almost two years away from competitions and with only two starts in Ankum behind her, Helen Langehanenberg and her now 13-year-old Danish Zack daughter Straight Horse Ascenzione, full sister to three-time world champion and former top sire Sezuan, traveled to Stadl Paura in Austria for their international debut. They already won the Grand Prix yesterday, here with just under 70 percent. Today they went one better in the Grand Prix Special and clearly won the test with 71.681 percent.

Like yesterday, the Swiss U25 rider also came second on the Hanoverian stallion Flynn, who gained Olympic experience in Paris in 2024 under the Belgian flag with Flore de Winne. The pair scored 69.511 percent today.

It was close, but it was enough to keep Lisa Müller in the saddle of Raffinesse at bay (69.213). Müller’s big moment came later, see below.

In the three-star tour, she first left Franz Trischberger behind on the Holsteiner Lorentin son Liverpool (68.042). She was followed in the 13-rider class by Anna-Louisa Fuchs with Duvetico (67.404) and an old acquaintance of the winner Helen Langehanenberg, namely the Fürstenball son Facilone, who she rode before he went to his current rider Nicola Ahorner, who is in the saddle for Israel. The pair scored 66.915 percent.

In addition to the mare Raffinesse, Lisa Müller also brought a second Dante Weltino offspring to the start in Stadl Paura: the highly talented ten-year-old Hanoverian gelding Dantiamo. She was victorious with him yesterday in the Grand Prix of the four-star tour and today they went one better, this time with 70.192 percent.

Second this time was Timna Valenta-Zach (AUT) with Farant ahead of Diana Porsche for Hungary on Dahoud. Yesterday it was the other way around.

Both riders scored 69.404 percent, but the Austrian had the higher average of her five scores (70.106 percent). In the event of a tie, this decides the ranking. Porsche and Dahoud had an average score of 69.149 percent.
