Gerrit Nieberg and IB Queen continue to be highly successful at the Toscana Tour in Arezzo (CSI4*). Today they were right at the front in the most important jumping competition of the Gold Tour. Two other German colleagues were placed.

A 1.50 meter jumping competition with jump-off was the main competition of the day at the CSI4* Toscana Tour in Arezzo. A total of 98 pairs were at the start. The best of them all were Gerrit Nieberg and IB Queen.

The jumping proved to be extremely selective. Of the 98 starters, just nine made it into the jump-off. Once again, only three remained clear. Of these three, Gerrit Nieberg and his eleven-year-old Quasimodo Z-daughter IB Queen were the fastest with a time of 38.62 seconds. Second place went to Belgium’s Leonie Peeters on the twelve-year-old Zangersheide stallion Kameroen EB Z (39.75). To the delight of the hosts, Beatrice Guidi also managed two clear rounds on Chippendel de La Tour, taking third place with 40.50 seconds for the Italian and her 14-year-old Conrad son.

The fastest pair in the jump-off also came from Germany: Maximilian Weishaupt with Omerta Incipit. They crossed the finish line after 35.78 seconds – albeit with one knockdown and fourth place.

The fastest four-fault ride in the round was delivered by another German pair: Michael Viehweg on his successful Austrian horse Contario. They were also in the money in eleventh place.

Marie Ligges on Ballerina NRW (19th), Jens Wawrauschek with Mava S (22nd), Sandra Auffarth in the saddle on Comcador (23rd) and Christian Ahlmann with Untouched LB (24th) were also fast enough to place. This means that both these riders and Magdalena Steinle, who also had one knockdown with Night Secret Z but finished two out of the placings, have qualified for the Grand Prix. Nieberg and Queen were fourth here last week.
