Raphael Netz will not be riding Camelot at the World Cup Final in Fort Worth from April 8th to 12th as planned, but Dieudonné instead.

As the 27-year-old Raphael Netz reports, his experienced Great Escape Camelot has broken an iron in the pasture. This has developed into a hoof ulcer. It will not be healed in time for the 15-year-old KWPN gelding to compete in Fort Worth. So the big moment has come for Netz’ second iron in the fire, the self-trained Dieudonné.

Netz last competed with “Dieu” in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where he once again impressed with his beautiful riding. It was also the show where the pair achieved their best freestyle result to date: 80.810 percent. That is not much less than Camelot’s previous top score of 80.940 percent, which they achieved in Neumünster.

About Dieudonné

Unlike Camelot, who was already Grand Prix ready when he came to Netz, he trained the 13-year-old Württemberger Dante Weltino son himself, a very sensitive horse. The pair have been competing internationally for around one and a half years and have steadily improved. In ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the blood marked black horse not only performed his best freestyle to date, but also achieved the highest score so far in the Grand Prix: 72.826 percent.

The owner of both horses is Sonja Krall, who herself is also successful up to advanced (S) level.
