30 stallions faced the evaluation committee at the stallion performance test in Sweden. 15 were awarded prizes and nine were licensed. The jumping winner was a "local", the dressage winner an immigrant from Germany.

According to the Swedish Warmblood Breeding Association (SWB), there were only winning stallions among the four-year-olds this year, but not among the five-year-olds because the number of participants was too low.

Champion from a famous lineage

The dressage winner was an Oldenburg: Still a Secret by Secret-Benaggio, bred by Caterina Schulz-Beelitz and owned by Lövsta Stud. Linnea Cöster presented the stallion and scored 21.5 points. Some individual scores: Walk 9.0, trot 9.5, canter 10.0.

The stallion had shown very good basic gaits and had natural balance, good rideability and promising potential. This was also recognized by the two external riders, Theo Hanzon (NED) and Mads Hendeliowitz (SWE), in their assessment of the stallion. Both awarded him a 9.5.

Still a Secret was a premium stallion at the Oldenburg Stallion Days 2025 and subsequently moved to Lövsta Stud for 300,000 euros. The stud not only acquired a great talent in terms of phenotype, but also one whose dam line stands for success. It is Herbert de Baey’s Dodona, from which the double Olympic champions Ahlerich and Rembrandt, among others, emerged. But also a Rubinstein, whose dam Antine is the great-great-granddam of Still a Secret.

Saddle licensing winner Zarenstern

Also at the test was the winner of the 2025 Oldenburg saddle licensing, Zarenstern by Zuperman-San Amour-Don Schufro, bred by the von Merveldt family. He also works at Lövsta Stud.

He passed the second-best test with 19 points and impressed with three consistently good basic gaits, which were all rated 8.5. This was also the score awarded by the two third-party riders.

Jumping winner by Cicero Z

The Swedish stallion performance test showed once again what a great sire the recently entered Cicero van Paemel is. With De Oratore out of Atlanta Z by Air Jordan Z-Corofino, he was the winner of the jumping stallion class. De Oratore is a Swedish stallion bred and owned by Equorum and presented by Mikaela Gustaphson.

The stallion impressed with his ability, technique and attitude during the test, according to the association’s press release. Expressed in scores, this meant that he jumped for an 8.75. The technique and ability were rated 8.5, the temperament 9.0. The test riders Christian Hess and Paraic Kenny each gave him an 8.5. In total, De Oratore scored 17.25 points.
