According to the report, the 13-year-old KWPN stallion will soon be ridden by the US American April Batcheller, who also has the previously successful Diesel with Emma Hindle under her saddle. According to Eurodressage, the gynecologist trains with the Canadian Olympic rider Chris von Martels.
Hexagon’s I Know
Hexagon’s Ich Weiss is a son of Rubiquil and thus a Rubinstein grandson. Stable Hexagon’s founder had bred Ich Weiss himself out of the Negro daughter Vinegra Utopia, who was also successful at Grand Prix level. All three horses were presented in the arena by stable rider Thamar Zweistra. Ich Weiss was the sporting and breeding figurehead of his sire. He was not only licensed, but also represented the Netherlands at two championships (World Championships 2022 and European Championships 2023, both times finishing fifth with the team) and three World Cup Finals. However, they were eliminated at their last World Cup Final in Riyadh due to blood on the horse.
In 2025, Thamar Zweistra presented the gray horse at the World Cup stages in Amsterdam and ‘s-Hertogenbosch. At the beginning of June, they won twice at the stage of the Central European League in Pilisjaszfalu, Hungary. But for the European Championships 2025, Zweistra opted for her ten-year-old youngster Luxuriouzz, who she also presented today in Amsterdam and finished ninth. Ich Weiss has been owned by April Batcheller at the FEI since the beginning of January.
