Schade und Partner honors above-average horse farms in the "The future belongs to quality farms" competition
“The future belongs to quality businesses” competition – Outstanding horse farms wanted
Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de In 2006, Schade und Partner announced the “The future belongs to quality farms” competition for the first time. Since then, horse farms with well thought-out husbandry concepts, innovative ideas and outstanding management have been honored every year. It was remarkable that over the years, new examples of best practice have shown which adjustments can still be made to make horse keeping even more species-appropriate for horses and even more practical for people.
The specialist consultant for horses is convinced: “Good husbandry conditions, sound feeding concepts and systematic health management are particularly effective when processes are designed to be comprehensible and results are made verifiable.” Transparency is becoming increasingly important for businesses in order to continuously improve quality.
The aim of the competition is, on the one hand, to recognize and highlight outstanding horse farms as an example for the industry and, on the other hand, to make them known. Schade und Partner is convinced that the competition can be both a benchmark and a source of inspiration for participants. In addition, attractive prizes await the winners.
Participation in the competition
The prizes are awarded in two categories:
- Training and boarding stables as well as riding and driving clubs of any kind with at least 15 horses
- Breeding and rearing farms of any breed with at least 15 horses, including four broodmares, as well as pure breeding farms with at least five broodmares or pure rearing farms with at least 20 young horses.
A written application to Schade und Partner is required to take part in the competition. This can be submitted until July 31, 2026. The applications will be pre-selected and, if suitable, the selection panel will visit the farms to gain an on-site impression of the conditions in which the horses are kept, the feeding and the health care measures.
