Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de Borja Carrascosa is one of the most successful dressage riders in his native Spain, having made his Olympic debut in Paris in 2024. Back then, he was in the saddle of the self-trained Louisdor Prize finalist Frizzantino. Now another Hanoverian stallion has moved into quarters at Gut Flamschen in Coesfeld, who already has a track record of success in the advanced class: FS Bloomberg.
About FS Bloomberg
FS Bloomberg is a nine-year-old Bon Coeur son out of a Don Index-Rohdiamant-De Niro dam. Although he is Hanoverian, he represents a Westphalian line. The fourth dam, Fantasie by Frühlingsrausch-Anmarsch, produced the licensed Ehrentusch sons Ehrentanz I and II, state stud stallions in Warendorf. More recently, the also licensed – and award-winning – For Romance son Forte per me emerged from this line. Ludwig Schüring in Gescher bred Bloomberg.
The smart black stallion’s career began with the award at his licensing in Zweibrücken in 2019, when he was the only sash wearer. He was able to confirm his good impression both at his 14-day test in Adelheidsdorf (dressage score 8.74) and at the KWPN performance test in Ermelo. He won the latter and was therefore also approved for Dutch breeding.
As the name suggests, FS Bloomberg was stationed with his owners, Ferienhof Stücker (FS). This is also where he started his show career, coming fourth in the Bundeschampionat final as a three-year-old, at that time still under Marina Welbers. Janine Drissen then took over his further training, with whom Bloomberg recommended himself as the winner of his five-year-old qualifier for the Bundeschampionat, although he was not presented there. As a six-year-old, he collected various first and further places in medium (M) level tests for young dressage horses. In 2025, he competed in his first tests at advanced level and was able to win yellow ribbons straight away.
New chapter with Carrascosa
The stallion will now continue his career under the Spanish flag with Borja Carrascosa. According to Ferienhof Stücker, the black stallion will no longer be used for breeding for the time being (although he has just produced a licensed stallion for KWPN and BWP). And Carrascosa reports on his new addition, explicitly emphasizing the good basic training by Janine Drissen. “We can’t wait to see where the journey takes us with this handsome boy,” Team CB Dressage let us know on Instagram.
