Richard Vogel remains the world's number one, and by a wider margin. The 29-year-old now leads the Longines World Show Jumping Rankings with 3,427 points. Daniel Deußer is in tenth place. Sophie Hinners has climbed to twelfth place.

When Richard Vogel became the world’s number one for the first time in August 2026, he was just 73 points ahead of the second-ranked rider, American Kent Farrington. “Richie” has now extended that lead to 108 points. Farrington, who recently guided his new promising young horse from Germany, Rexton, to his first Grand Prix victory, remains in second place (3,319).

Calgary: No Grand Prix victory, but points

Vogel had taken the lead in late August after the German team won team gold at the FEI World Championships in Aachen. In September, riding Cloudio, he won the Nations Cup with Team Germany in Calgary. In the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix, however, he and United Touch S fell short of victory—and thus of winning the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. Still, he earned plenty of points toward the world rankings.
