For Chacco TN to Harrie Smolders
Westphalian Chacco’s Son nephew for Harrie Smolders
Chacco's Son was the horse that enabled Maurice Tebbel to make the leap into top international sport. Photo: Sportfotos-lafrentz.de For Chacco TN is a ten-year-old Westphalian stallion by For Pleasure out of Chacco’s Lüd by Chacco-Blue-Lancer III-Pinocchio. Anyone wondering how they know this pedigree – the dam is a full sister to Maurice Tebbel’s 2017 Nations’ Cup winner and European Championship partner, Chacco’s Son. The breeder of all three horses, Chacco’s Son, his sister and her son, is Wilhelm Schwenker.
Serial winner
For Chacco was approved for breeding in 2018 as part of the Westphalian main licensing. Even then, Team Nijhof was from the Netherlands and did not want to give the stallion away. For good reason, as has been shown in recent years. First with Kars Bonhof, later with Marriet Smit-Hoekstra and in the meantime also Maikel van der Vleuten, he has developed into an international series winner.
Last year alone, he won six Grand Prix prizes. Among other things, he won the prestigious “Sires of the World” show jumping competition, the 1.50 meter Grand Prix for stallions at the World Championships for Young Show Jumpers in Lanaken.
New tab
As horses.nl reports, For Chacco TN will now have a new rider, not just any rider, but Harrie Smolders, currently the best Dutch rider in the world rankings. The pair are set to make their show debut this weekend at the CSI2* in Lier.
