It's unbelievable what a run Scott Brash is having in Doha. Once again, the British number one in the world rankings has won the main jumping competition of the day. And once again a German pair finished in second place.

Scott Brash was already talking about the excellent condition his 17-year-old Hallo Jefferson is currently in when he won yesterday. The Cooper van de Heffinck son confirmed this today in the jump-off of the most important jumping competition of the day over 1.55 meters with the only clear round under 40 seconds.

Hans-Dieter Dreher and his no less experienced Baloubet du Rouet son Vestmalle des Cotis were the closest with a time of 40.82 seconds. However, Dreher and the 17-year-old French gelding were only four hundredths of a second faster than Brazil’s Santiago Lambre in the saddle on the OS gelding Zeusz.

Philipp Weishaupt and the nine-year-old Emerald daughter, Lady Concern du Rezidal, were among the eight pairs who managed two clear rounds. They finished sixth. Weishaupt took over the mare as a seven-year-old. She is only just growing into the really big sport. She competed in her first five-star tournament in La Coruña at the beginning of December.
