Four pairs selected for the European Pony Show Jumping Championships in Le Mans

From July 29 to August 2, Europe’s best young show jumpers will compete for medals on ponies in Le Mans.

From July 29 to August 2, the European Pony Riding Championships in dressage, show jumping, and eventing will take place in Le Mans, France. The German show jumping team was announced today.
The last time Germany won a medal at the European Pony Show Jumping Championships was in 2024. Back then, Malte Merschformann on Jumper, Finja Mayleen Neubauer riding Sucato—who later enjoyed success under Brianne Beerbaum—Hannah Blandfort riding Karim van Orchid, Lena-Marie Kraus on Voodstock de l’Astree, and Rafael-Maximilian Reichart-Eisenhardt on Casino Royal. Malte Merschformann is also part of this year’s Junior European Championship team. Hannah Blandfort is a reserve on the team.
Medal hopes for the 2026 European Championships in Le Mans now rest on the shoulders of these four U16 prospects:
- Joost Fallenberg (15) with Bella Donna TF
- Janne Neumann (12) with Hégérie de Lanlore
- Frida Obermowe (13) with Tyona
- Benedikt Raab (15) with Marie-Luise
All four will be competing in an international championship for the first time.
