There was also jumping in the Mediterranean this weekend, and it was also successful from a German perspective. Especially for Jörne Sprehe and Toys.

A total of eleven of the 49 pairs in the Grand Prix of the CSI3* in Bedizzole over 1.55 meters did not finish the jumping. Six reached the jump-off, including two from Germany. The best of the day by far were Jörne Sprehe and her two-time Nations Cup winner Toys. The son of Toulon, who is also in great demand as a stud stallion at Sprehe Stud, was not only twice clear, but also unassailably fast at 37.71 seconds.

Louis Wood on Filou Moussardiere and Max Routledge in the saddle on Me the Rebel R.T. were the two British pairs to lose out. The second German pair in the jump-off were Hannes Ahlmann and Tokyo. They also managed to finish in under 40 seconds. However, they paid for their courage to take risks with three knockdowns and sixth place.

Klaphake and Schewe placed in Spain I

In the Grand Prix of the Sunshine Tour stage in Vejer de la Frontera (CSI4*, 1.55 m), Brazil’s Stephan de Freitas Barcha and Chevaux Primavera Imperio Egipcio were the measure of all things. Second place went to Ireland with Niamh McEvoy and Olympic GL. Third place went to Julio Arias Cueva in the saddle on Filou du Manoir, a representative of the hosts.

Only five pairs reached the jump-off. Laura Klaphake and Tom Schewe were not among them, but they were still placed. Klaphake jumped the ten-year-old Diamant de Semilly son VDL Quizano van’t Merelsnest to tenth place with one knockdown. Tom Schewe and Congress Blue PS’ time for their four-fault round in the round was enough for eleventh place.

Tebbel and Meyer-Zimmermann in the money in Spain II

Justine Tebbel and Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann were among the riders who opted for the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova (CSI3*).

Here, victory in today’s Grand Prix over 1.50 meters went to Santiago Diaz Ortega on Chasspleen Flamingo Z. This means that star sire Cardento produced two Grand Prix winners in one day after Cardentos won in Ocala under Richard Vogel. Alex Barr and Preben van Doornakkers took second place in Great Britain. In third place was France’s old master Michel Robert with his 77 years (!) on Calasto Z.

Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and her DSP stallion Cascais rode the fastest four-fault round in the jump-off, coming sixth. They were followed directly behind by Justine Tebbel and the OS mare Le Phase by Like Angel, who also had one fault.

Two more German placings in Italy

Finally, the CSI4* Grand Prix of Gorla Minore went over 1.55 meters once again. The victory went to Germany, but to a Danish rider: Zascha Nygaard from Team Kreuzer in the saddle on the OS stallion Charino PS by Chacco Blue. French rider Robin Lesqueren on FBI D’Ellipse came second ahead of Robin Muhr for Israel in the saddle on Galaxy HM.

Hans-Dieter Dreher and Cous Cous also made it into the twelve pairs in the jump-off, but had one knockdown here. The time was good enough for tenth place. Tim Hoster and Claus only missed the jump-off due to a time fault, but were still placed 13th.
