Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de With their victory in the Grand Prix of Hagen, Stefan Engbers and Baju NRW have demonstrated that they are in top form. Now, Ralf Runde has retrofitted the pair for the Nations Cup in Mannheim. They replace Katrin Eckermann. This means that Hannes Ahlmann, Sandra Auffarth, Stefan Engbers, Michael Jung and Gerrit Nieberg have now been nominated for Mannheim. One of these five will have to sit out. The team around the team manager and co national coach is made up of four pairs. Which ones will be selected will be decided at short notice.
The Nations Cup at the Mannheim Maimarkt show will take place on May 3rd. It is the first stage of the EEF Nations Cup series at CSI3* level. Engbers and Baju NRW already know the Mannheim course well. They were placed here in the Badenia in 2025 and were part of the second-placed Nations Cup team in 2023. With two faults and zero faults, they played a decisive role in their success back then.
The Nations Cup can be followed on SWR television. The first round can be watched online in the livestream from 1.15 pm. The second will be shown on TV as part of the “SWR Sport” program from 3.30 to 5.30 pm.
