Rome, Riesenbeck, Herning—a career with three riders
Starting in July 2020, David Will took the reins of the bay horse. The pair quickly hit it off. In the spring of 2021, C Vier won the Grand Prix in Rome. That same year, the pair placed second in the European Team Championships in Riesenbeck. In the individual standings, the combination finished in seventh place.
To Ireland …
The horse’s talent was obvious. So was the fact that the Cardento son was up for sale. In 2022, the gelding moved to Ireland. In May 2022, he competed under Cian O’Connor for the first time. Fittingly, in the World Championship year, O’Connor rode the Holsteiner at the World Championships in Herning. The pair finished fourth with the team. In the individual competition, they placed 25th.
… and on to Israel
After a brief stint with Samuel Hutton, C Vier began competing under the guidance of Isabell Russekoff, an American rider representing Israel, starting in February 2023. They competed in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, finishing in 64th place. In 2025, they competed at the European Championships in A Coruña.
C Vier competed in her last tournament in St. Gallen in May 2026. Russekoff had set her sights on the World Championships in Aachen as her clear goal for the season. However, she had to forgo competing there. In a farewell post on Instagram, the Israeli rider expressed her gratitude for the fact that C Vier had always given 110 percent and made the impossible possible.
