The World Cup of Show Jumping of the Central European League stops this weekend in Krakow, Poland. Among them: some Germans - and successfully so.

The most important jumping competition of the Grand Tour in Krakow today was a 1.50 meter jumping competition with jump-off, which ended with a German double victory.

The clear winner was Michael Kölz from Saxony with his successful Holstein partner Cellato. The son of Cellestial was almost ten seconds faster than the other clear-cut competitors in the jump-off. However, there were not too many of them. Apart from Kölz, only Magnus Schmidt and the DSP gelding Carl Gustav by Comme il faut reached the finish of the jump-off without a knockdown. As Cellato did the job in 35.43 seconds, for which Carl Gustav needed 44.09 seconds, the decision was clear.

Third place went to Marek Lewicki, representing the hosts, who had saddled the Hanoverian stallion Quadis II, a Chacco Blue son. They finished their four-fault round against the clock in 36.99 seconds – which once again underlines what a great performance Michael Kölz and Cellato put in today in Krakow.

Three more Germans in the top ten

Two more riders from Germany made it into the jump-off. Felix Haßmann rode the Bavarian Uriko-son DSP Mon Genuartt to fourth place with four faults in 41.02 seconds. Kai Rüder also had one fault with the ten-year-old Holstein Lord Z son Laquero and the time was enough for sixth place behind Marc Beckers (NED) on Imola.

The fastest four-fault round in the normal course also earned Harm Lahde a place in the saddle on Lafocolo Crazy Stud. They finished ninth.
