First foal for double Bundeschampioness Eivissa
The foal of double Bundeschampionesse Eivissa has arrived
Eivissa twice left the riding horse arena at the Bundeschampionat with the winner's sash. Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de Bernadette Brune shared the news on her Facebook page. The photo shows a beautiful pitch-black, delicate foal. She writes: “A few hours old and already so incredibly beautiful! Tonight we had a jet black filly by Secret out of our Escamillo x Wolkentanz mare. Mother and daughter are doing well.”
Escamillo-Wolkentanz is the pedigree of the now seven-year-old Westphalian mare Eivissa from the successful breeding of Katharina Hadeler, who attracted attention with top scores at the Bundeschampionat at the age of three and four, but has not been heard of in sport since then. But, as we all know, the best mares should also be used for breeding.
As can be seen from a comment under the article, Brune is expecting another foal by the mare. This one is to be by the Vitalis son Vaderland, who is her own young Grand Prix horse.
