Jessica von Bredow-Werndl's Louisdor Prize qualifier Got it has new owners - but no new home.

One of the most regrettable cancellations in the run-up to the 2026 Louisdor Prize Final was that of Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with her Danish gelding Got it. The four-time Olympic champion had decided against competing in Frankfurt with “Goti” because it was already clear at the time that the gelding would be sold – “if a suitable rider with a suitable home and management could be found”, as she said at the time.

New rider

She can now confidently put a tick behind all three requirements. The now eleven-year-old Grand Galaxy Win son was sold to Sonja and Stefan Süß, who already have other horses in training in Aubenhausen and whose daughter Carla (18) trains with the Werndls. She also has the gelding Del Sogno under her saddle, which Sönke Rothenberger once entrusted to the Werndls for further training. This means that little will change for Got it in his everyday life, as he will remain in “his” stable.

What changes for Got it is the rider. Carla Süß presented him at competitions for the first time at the weekend. They competed in the junior tour at the CDN Stadl Paura. They came ninth in the FEI preparation test and seventh in the team classification.

Got its background

Got it was born in 2015 to dressage trainer and hobby breeder Morten Thomsen in Denmark. He is a son of the Apache son Grand Galaxy Win T out of a Grand Prix-successful dam by Don Schufro-Leandro.

As a four-year-old, Got it – still a licensed stallion at the time – recommended himself for the Danish Young Horse Championships with 87.2 percent and third place in the qualifier, where he fell short of his potential with 70.6 percent. These were his only two starts in Denmark.

As a trainer, Morten Thomsen is a regular guest in Aubenhausen anyway. There was therefore already a connection between him as Got it’s breeder and the Werndls. When Got it was five years old, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl took him on and a year later collected his first ribbons in medium level dressage tests for young horses with him. In the years that followed, Got it matured into a Grand Prix horse. He is now passing on his skills to the next generation of riders.
