According to the statement, it was Ann-Kathrin “Aki” Lachemann’s own decision. She had “accepted an offer that would allow her to achieve her goal of ‘big sport’ more quickly”.
The employment relationship thus ends after almost exactly one year. The horse manager, who completed her training with the Stensbeck badge, started at Schönweide Estate in January 2025. She got on very well with the horses at Schönweide. At the 2025 Bundeschampionat, the 26-year-old rode the Hanoverian stallion Sky by Sezuan, once the top prizewinner at his licensing, to the title in the seven-year-old dressage horse class with a dream round.
However, this was the last tournament for the pair, as Lachemann suffered a serious injury in a riding accident and has had to take a break ever since. It is not yet known where she will now go.
