In the Nations Cup final in eventing, with 50 of 93 competitors having finished, two Germans are in the top ten; Nadine Marzahl is currently in third place. A British rider is in the lead, riding a celebrity clone.

Chilli Morning IV—the “IV” in his name indicating he is the fourth clone of William Fox-Pitt’s Brandenburg military stallion and Badminton winner Chilli Morning—is in the lead after the first half of the dressage competition in Boekelo. Gemma Stevens scored 25.4 penalty points. One judge placed her in first place, while another ranked her second. This put the British rider ahead of Brazilian Marcio Cavalho Jorge riding Castle Howard Casanova (26.0), who had long held the lead.

With 27.1 penalty points, Nadine Marzahl and the experienced Hanoverian mare Victoria by Valentino finished the dressage in third place. Brandon Schäfer Gehrau is in ninth place after the first half of the dressage with another Hanoverian chestnut mare, Very Special by Viscount.
