This investment pays off very quickly after the purchase: With the Westphalian mare Alive and Kicking, acquired a few weeks ago from Charlotte Dujardin, Rose Only won the warm-up test in the U25 tour at the Maimarkt show in Mannheim today. Moritz Treffinger came second.

Clear victory in the warm-up competition for the Piaff-Förderpreis in Mannheim. Rose Oatley, a highly successful young rider in all age categories with an Australian mother with Olympic experience, had received a wild card for the start in Mannheim. A total of 18 pairs competed in this Intermédiaire II. Rose Oatley took the lead with a commanding 74.118 percentage points, putting her just one percentage point ahead of second-placed Moritz Treffinger.

However, Rose Only did not get through the test without any faults. A fault in the eleven flying canter changes from jump to jump brought the score down a little. On the other hand, she not only performed confidently in piaffe and passage, but above all a left-hand pirouette that was balanced, centered and otherwise extremely successful. For this lesson alone there were marks up to 9.0.

Morri and Moritz in second place

World Cup finalist Moritz Treffinger had brought the Oldenburg champion stallion Morricone with him to Mannheim. The stallion, who is still very busy in real life and already has successful offspring up to Grand Prix level, made an impressive comeback after a long break from competitions. The pair from Bomhomme Stud scored 73.206 percent(you can read a home story about Moritz Treffinger here). Danish head judge Christine Prip even saw Treffinger and “Morri” as the winners of the test.

This pair also did not get through the test completely flawlessly. However, in this case it was the collected walk, which was not always 100 percent in time, but still scored up to 6.5. This meant that the youngest participant in the 2026 World Cup Final did not lose too many points here. Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel and First Vienna came third. The pair scored 71.794 %. This was awarded for an even ride that was completed without any major faults.
