Stars of Tomorrow final in Münster to Leonie Richter and Lord Europe

Beautiful, black and, as his rider says, a horse that is always highly motivated and always gives his all – that is the Rhinelander Lord Europe by Lord Leatherdale, Leonie Richter’s dream horse, as she explained in Frankfurt before her final ride in the Louisdor Prize. The black stallion, premium stallion at the 2018 Hanoverian licensing, is the first horse that Richter has trained up to Grand Prix level, formerly for her former employer Helgstrand Dressage and now for the stallion’s new owners from Hungary, the Disco family. In Frankfurt, however, things didn’t go well for the pair and they finished last. It was a different story today in Münster in the Stars of Tomorrow final.

While the Grand Prix de Dressage was in demand at the Louisdor Prize Final in Frankfurt, the Stars of Tomorrow went into the short Grand Prix again today. Here, 12 to 15 paces should be shown on the spot in the piaffe. This had presented Lord Europe with challenges in his first S*** tests. However, he already had moments in the Intermédiaire II in Frankfurt when he was better able to tilt his pelvis and step under the center of gravity with his hind legs. Today he even received eights for his first piaffe from Catrin Wingender for H and Michael Settertobulte for M. All in all, the pair scored a strong 76.698 percent and won with superiority.

Second place for cool Danny

Helen Langehanenberg and the Danciano son Danny Cool also took part in the Louisdor Prize Final in Frankfurt and competed again today in Münster in the Stars of Tomorrow competition. They were on top form right up to the last minute of the task. Only the transition from the last piaffe into the passage did not go as well as everything else before it. They finished second with 73.488 percent.

Third place went to Dorothee Schneider student Anna-Louisa Fuchs with the ten-year-old Don Juan de Hus grandson Duvetico. The pair have been a team since 2023 and have worked their way up from medium (M) to advanced (S***) level. They had recommended themselves for today with a second place in the Stars von Morgen semi-final in Ising on Lake Chiemsee in Bavaria. Today they were the best pair in southern Germany, coming third overall with their 71.907 percent.

Small finale on the tree belt

The Stars of Tomorrow series is aimed at both U25 youngster Grand Prix riders and young horses. The pair that won the small final today are both. Generation U25 sits in the saddle, generation U10 dances through the arena. We are talking about multiple European Young Rider Champion Lucie Anouk Baumgürtel and her Vitalis daughter First Vienna, who has just turned ten. They were the only pair in the small final to break the 70 percent mark. And they did so clearly. With 71.316 percent, they secured the small final, which was also held as an Intermédiaire II.

Sophia Gerlach took second place on Amaru F with 68.772 percent. Just half a point behind her, Anna-Louisa Fuchs picked up her second white ribbon, this time with the eleven-year-old Fahrenheit daughter Floribelle.
