Which German pairs have been nominated for the 2026 European Junior Dressage Championships?

Germany’s Candidates for the European Junior Dressage Championships

Dressage

The Future Champions event in Hagen served as the second selection round for the European Championships for Young Riders. The dressage team has already been selected.

France, the Czech Republic, and Hungary will host the 2026 European Dressage Championships for Young Riders. The Children and Juniors will compete in Olomouc, Czech Republic, from July 13 to 19. The following pairs have been nominated to represent Germany:


Children



  • Antonia Hansmeyer (Hesse) with Gentle van Wittenstein V

  • Cecilie Marie Hohl (Hanover) with Saluna W OLD

  • Lilly Kasselmann (Weser-Ems) with Vodka Soda (the only one with championship experience, having been part of last year’s winning team)

  • Linda Schuchmann (Weser-Ems) with Figo de Halliers

    Reserves:


  • Jasper Rasche (Rhineland-Palatinate) with Limoncelli

  • Larissa Bruckschen (Rhineland-Palatinate) with Little Fame

  • Anna Schmieder (Rhineland) with a free throw


Juniors



  • Eve Catherine Bartels (Hesse) with Villeneuve

  • Clara Kohoutek (Baden-Württemberg) with Dark Dancer (Reserve: Belinda FRH)

  • Ava Osing (Schleswig-Holstein) with Destacado FRH (2025 Team Gold with Vitalos)

  • Martha Raupach (Weser-Ems) with Francis Drake OLD (winner of the Children’s class in 2021/22, making his debut in the Junior class)

  • Greta Louise Wagner (Rhineland-Palatinate) with Vanessa H

Young riders


The young riders will compete in their European Championships alongside the U25 dressage riders from July 6 to 12 in Pilisjászfalu, Hungary. The following riders have been nominated:



  • Lana-Pinou Baumgürtel (Westphalia) with Escalla FH OLD (defending champion)

  • Nele Klaus (Berlin-Brandenburg) with Bonfire

  • Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen (Rhineland) with Attractive (last year’s junior champion)

  • Marie Sohler (Westphalia) with Askehavens Beau Sancy (2024 European Junior Champion)

  • Pauline Kesting (Rhineland) with Earl of Nymphenburg

  • Martha Pickers (Rhineland-Palatinate) with Ferri Rousseau

  • Lena Pögel (Schleswig-Holstein) with Bon Cruz M OLD

  • Marie Holtfreter (Schleswig-Holstein) with Kiranga


Pony rider


As in the previous year, the pony dressage riders will compete in their European Championships alongside the show jumping and eventing riders from July 29 to August 2 in Le Mans, France. The team includes one veteran and three newcomers:



  • Leni-Sophie Gosmann (Rhineland) with Diamantini EA WE (the only one of the four who had already been part of the winning team in 2024/25 and also won two silver medals in the individual competition)

  • Lilli von Helldorff (Hanover) with Nabucco HW

  • Lilly Kasselmann (Weser-Ems) with Nasdaq FH

  • Victoria Winkmann (Rhineland) with Peach
