Revolution with new rider at the start of the CDI Jerez
Dressage horse world champion Revolution reports back in Spain

After all, the Westphalian stallion Revolution was sold to Portuguese rider Roberto Brasil back in 2023. But since then, things have been so quiet around the Rocky Lee son that you could be forgiven for thinking it was only recently.
Horse of millions
Revolution was not even three years old when he made international headlines. At the 2015 Hanoverian stallion licensing, he was officially sold to Helgstrand Dressage for 1.2 million euros. This was a price that the Verden stallion market had never seen before.
He was also licensed in Denmark, where he won his performance test and the Danish Young Horse Championships three times in a row. Andreas Helgstrand also presented the stallion as a five and six-year-old at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. He won as a five-year-old and took silver as a six-year-old. When he was seven years old, the World Championships had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Nevertheless, Revolution was successful at Prix St. Georges level. He also won his first Grand Prix ribbons with Andreas Helgstrand in the saddle.
New chapter for Portugal
In October 2023, Helgstrand Dressage then announced the sale of the then ten-year-old stallion. He went to the Portuguese rider Roberto Brasil, who had lived and worked in the USA and Brazil for a long time before setting up his own business back in Europe in September 2023.
At the time, Revolution was rumored to be Brazil’s Olympic partner for Paris. However, after the pair came out of the arena with 61.978 at their first CDI in Cascais in February 2024 and finished in the “distant future”, they had not competed in any more international tournaments.
Next start: CDI Jerez
This weekend Brasil dares to try again. He has entered Revolution for the CDI3* in Jerez de la Frontera. You can find the horse list here. In addition to the Grand Tour, CDI* and ** competitions as well as classes for young riders are also planned. Hannah Schmitz, a German rider, will be taking part in the latter. She is competing in the juniors.
