After it was announced a few days ago that Ann-Kathrin Lachemann was leaving the Schönweide estate in Schleswig-Holstein, she has now revealed where she is heading - back to the south.

Ann-Kathrin Lachemann moved from Baden-Württemberg to the far north of Germany just over a year ago to join Gut Schönweide. It was an extremely successful year, culminating in victory at the Bundeschampionat in the saddle of the Sezuan son Sky. Anyone who hadn’t known Lachemann until then knew from that day at the latest: she can ride! And above all, she can do it beautifully and harmoniously.

However, the year continued less well for the 26-year-old with a fall in mid-October in which she was seriously injured. A few days ago, the Schönweide estate itself published the news of “Aki’s” dismissal.

The former South German professional rider champion has now revealed to her colleague Kim Kreling that she will be starting at the Meggle dressage stable in March, where Hannah Laser, who previously also rode at Gut Schönweide, worked for a short time. Oliver Oelrich will be responsible for training at Georgihof near Wasserburg am Inn, with whom Lachemann will then also work. When asked about her wishes for the future, Lachemann is clear in her answer: “My goal is to compete in the big sport.” She is likely to find the horses for this at the Meggle stables.
