22 stallions approved for the 2026 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing
Will there be a Bolero/Ferro duel at the 2026 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing?
Symbolic picture saddle licensing in Oldenburg. Photo: OLD Art The 22 stallions expected at the Oldenburg Saddle Licensing are descended from 21 different stallions. They come from nine different stallion lines.
Bolero and Ferro are most strongly represented: the Hanoverian three-quarter bloodline includes Bolero five times via Best of Gold, Be Sure, Bon Coeur, Bohemian and Bonds. The Dutch stallion Ferro is just as often responsible for a descendant at the saddle licensing. The Franklin sons Feinsten and Finest Hour each produce one son. Secret and his paternal half-brother So Perfect (two sons) complete this quintet.
Vivaldi, the Dutch stallion who goes back to the Holsteiner Lacapo by Landgraf, has just dominated the dressage decisions of the Danish licensing committee in Herning. On April 10, he will be represented in Vechta with sons of the three stallions Dynamic Dream, Infantino and Viva Gold, the Shooting Star of March 2026.

The Trakehner Gribaldi also pays tribute through two descendants: One has Morricone as his sire, the other Topgun. And the KWPN legend Jazz is present through the Apache sons Jovian and Global Player OLD and their offspring.
The Oldenburg sire legend Donnerhall shines in the back of a son of Debutant PS. Escolar is also present once as a progenitor (Escanto PS). A direct Quaterback son completes the lot.
