New date for Oldenburg licensing 2026: End of November and from Monday to Wednesday

The North German licensing landscape is tightly scheduled. International buyers and breeders who want to combine several events in one trip need a schedule that allows them to do so. The stallion train moves from licensing venue to licensing venue, as do the stallion preparers.

The new date of the Oldenburg licensing should make this even more possible: a more compactly coordinated sequence of the North German licensing events – with the aim of bundling travel routes and making the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta more attractive as part of a larger breeding tour.

More time for the stallions

A second aspect is that the postponement would give the stallions more time to develop between pre-selection and licensing. The association formulates this as a conscious decision for “horse-friendly planning in the course of the licensing season”. The argument: Three weeks can make a difference in the development of a young stallion.
