The Redefin State Stud and the Tebbel stallion station are now working together. Chacco's Son II, the successful two-time Bundeschampionat finalist, has already moved to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

“We are very pleased about the cooperation with the René Tebbel stallion station and that Chacco’s Son II has already moved into his stall in Redefin,” said the Redefin State Stud. After it was reported last year that a buyer was being sought for the state stud or private investors, the news came at the beginning of November that partial privatization was off the table for the time being.

Chacco’s Son II is definitely an interesting new addition to the stable complex, some of which are 300 years old. He is a son of Chacco-Blue, for a long time the world’s best show jumper sire and currently number three in the WBFSH Sire Ranking. The exceptional sire, who died far too young, was himself from Mecklenburg and was born just an hour’s drive away before making a career in sport and breeding at the Schockemöhle stables.

Breeding background of Chacco’s Son II

Chacco’s Son II, on the other hand, was born in 2011 at Wilhelm Schwenker in Hille, Westphalia. The dam, Lancley, is a daughter of the Landgraf I son Lancer III, who has been a blessing in NRW, bred to a dam who has a Pilot son, Pinocchio, as her sire and also comes from a Pilot dam. The Pilatus son, who was a formative show jumper sire in Westphalia for a long time, is therefore firmly anchored in the pedigree here.

The fact that the pairing with Chacco-Blue works has already been demonstrated by the full brother of the same name to Chacco’s Son II. Chacco’s Son I, born in 2007, was the horse that carried Maurice Tebbel to the top level of show jumping, from silver with the team at the U21 European Championships in 2015 to the first senior championships, the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg. The pair were part of the winning Nations Cup team in Aachen in 2017, came second in the Prize of NRW the year before, then second in Hamburg in 2018 and double clear in the Nations Cup in La Baule. To name just a few.

Personal contribution and inheritance

Chacco’s Son II made a name for himself as a young horse at the Bundeschampionat. He was in the final as a five and six-year-old, taking fifth place as a six-year-old. He later jumped successfully up to advanced level.

He made a name for himself with his foals right from the start. In 2015, he was declared Oldenburg main premium winner after producing the winning foal at the German Foal Championships in Lienen, among others.

The Emsbüren box does not remain empty

His big brother is still available to breeders at the Tebbel stallion station. And another former successful partner of Maurice Tebbel has returned home: Don Diarado. With the now 17-year-old Rhinelander by Diarado-Lancer II, Tebbel not only won bronze with the team at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, but also competed at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Don Diarado already belonged to the Müter family from Elmgestüt Drei Eichen. In the winter of 2021/2022, they brought the stallion over for their stable rider Harm Lahde. However, the pair failed to make their big breakthrough. Lahde rode the stallion at competitions in 2022. After that, they took a break. Don Diarado did not return until December 2023 for a CSI1* competition. It was “Donni’s” last public appearance.

The Tebbel stallion station then announced Don Diarado’s return before Christmas. “It was an incredibly emotional moment for our family – because Don Diarado is much more than just a sport partner for us.”

It is now available to breeders in the form of fresh semen.
