2026 Oldenburg State Show Jumping Championships: Diablue PS offspring take three podium spots in the four- and five-year-old divisions.

2026 Oldenburg State Show Jumping Championships: How about a little more Diablue PS?

The 2026 Oldenburg State Show Jumping Championships proved one thing: If Diablue PS were a wine, it would be a very special one. That’s because the stallion, bred and owned by Paul Schockemöhle, had not just one, but two particularly strong “vintages” competing at the Oldenburg State Championships in Höven.

Diablue PS, who was successful up to Class S himself, sired the champion among the four-year-olds, Diarazzo—a dark chestnut bred by Linda Roling and owned by the partnership of Stevens, Rieskamp-Goedeking, and Ehning. This combination alone suggests that the newly crowned “class champion” is a special show jumper.

Ten four-year-olds in the finals of the Oldenburg State Championship

The OS stallion, sired by a Quattro dam, took the lead among the ten four-year-olds competing in this final with a score of 8.8. The runner-up also had ties to Gestüt Lewitz: Cassiano PS, also a stallion—this time bred directly by Gestüt Lewitz—is by Chacoon Blue out of an Andiamo Z dam and was ridden by Alexa Stais to second place with a score of 8.7.

That same year, 2022, the third-place finisher in that championship was also born at the Lewitz stud farm owned by Paul Schockemöhle in Mecklenburg: Dicco Star PS. He, too, is a stallion—a chestnut. And he, too, is a son of Diablue PS. On his dam’s side, he is directly descended from a Chacco Blue dam. Riden by Anouk Voss from the Netherlands, this OS stallion placed third with a score of 8.6.

Five-Year-Olds: Stühlmeyer and Diacarijo PS Dominate

In the five-year-old division, it was Patrick Stühmeier, Paul Schockemöhle’s internationally successful stable jockey, who rode the champion. Once again, it was a stallion that was awarded the red-and-blue sash of the Oldenburg State Champion. And once again, a championship winner can be traced back to Diablue PS: Diacarijo PS was born at Gestüt Lewitz in 2021. His dam is by Chacoon Blue. After two rounds, his total score came to 19.1. This put him clearly in the lead among the field of 21 finalists.

One twist, twice the horsepower

Second place went to the OS stallion O’Hero PW, bred by Peter Wendeln in Garrel—a chestnut by Ogano Sitte out of a Last Man Standing dam. Kai Thomann rode the runner-up among the five-year-old Oldenburg show jumpers. The pair achieved a final score of 17.93. Close behind was Gestüt Lewitz once again. And once more, it was a stallion: Chacento Blue PS, by Charino out of a Carembar de Muze (aka London) dam. This Lewitz stallion was presented by Rene Sontag and scored 17.77 points.

Six-Year-Olds: Ruben Arroyave Munoz Rides Three Horses into the Top 4

In the Six-Year-Old Championship as well—where 26 pairs competed in the final—the bloodline of the former Holsteiner Champion Stallion Diarado was well represented. Four offspring of Diaron, the sire of Diablue PS, had made it to the final alone. Just as many offspring of Chaccoon Blue competed in this class. And one of them, the mare Virginia, bred by Harm Onken (dam by Vivant van de Heffinck), won the competition.

This championship was decided in an M** show jumping competition with a jump-off, for which 13 clear rounds—exactly half of the field—had qualified. Six horses did not knock down any obstacles in the jump-off either.

Ruben Arroyave Munoz, originally from Colombia, will certainly never forget this July 4th in Höven: He rode not only the champion, Virgina (0/38.58 seconds in the jump-off), but also the runner-up, the stallion Lulo Juice by Balou du Rouet (0/39.55), as well as the fourth-place gelding Diatalo Blue PS by Diaron (0/42.08, breeder: Gest. Lewitz). Wilhelm Winkeler, riding the home-bred Valana WW by Vagabond de la Pomme (0/41.61), prevented Munoz from sweeping the entire podium. The pair finished third.
