The Neumünster horse show is celebrating its 75th anniversary from February 12 to 15 - and the Holstenhallen have also been the venue for a World Cup dressage qualifier since 1987. The big anniversary will be celebrated in style.
The first horse show took place in the Holstenhallen in 1951. This makes the VR Classics one of the most traditional equestrian events in the country. To mark its 75th anniversary, the tournament will open with a big show on Wednesday evening.
In the days that follow, sport dominates the action. As a World Cup stage, Neumünster is a regular destination for the best dressage pairs in the world and the Grand Prix in the stronghold of show jumping horse breeding, Schleswig-Holstein, is one of the classics on the course.
