Farrington, who recently guided his new promising young horse from Germany, Rexton, to his first Grand Prix victory, remains in second place (3,319).
Calgary: No Grand Prix victory, but points
Vogel had taken the lead in late August after the German team won team gold at the FEI World Championships in Aachen. In September, riding Cloudio, he won the Nations Cup with Team Germany in Calgary. In the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix, however, he and United Touch S fell short of victory—and thus of winning the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. Still, he earned plenty of points toward the world rankings.
