Michael Jung's FischerSolution II is once again named Dzoker and has a new rider

Polish eventing rider Paweł Spisak had the pleasure of riding Dzoker—a gelding bred in his home country—at a CCI competition only once: in April 2023 in Sopot. It was the then-seven-year-old gelding’s first international start. He immediately placed fourth in a CCI2*-S event. By August, Michael Jung’s chief rider, Sven Lux, was already in the saddle of the Harley VDL son out of a Thoroughbred dam. Starting in 2024, Jung himself began competing Dzoker.

At the start of the Olympic season, Dzoker had already been transferred to Klaus Fischer, Michael Jung’s long-time sponsor. As part of this change, he was also renamed FischerSolution II. That same season, the pair placed second in a CCI3*-L event.

Michael Jung kicked off the 2025 season with a major challenge for his young horse: the CCI4*-S in Marbach, known for its demanding terrain. Here, the Olympic champion had to withdraw after a fall during the cross-country. But at his very next 4* appearance in Wiesbaden, FischerSolution II demonstrated that he truly has the right solution for every problem and finished second. In September, he won the CCI4* for eight- and nine-year-old young horses in Strzegom, and in October, he secured his championship and 5* qualification with a fifth-place finish in the CCI4*-L.

FischerSolution II was part of the Road2LA pool—that is, the group of horses whose age, results, and level of development make them potential contenders for the 2028 Olympics. During the World Championships in Aachen, Michael Jung said: “He’s very similar to FischerChipmunk, I’d say—a great deal of talent, a pleasure to ride, and a wonderful temperament.” What does that mean exactly? “Sweet, easygoing, honest, ambitious, and cautious.” He’s looking forward to the future with him. Now, another rider will get to enjoy that future.

a new rider

: On August 28, the change of ownership was registered with the FEI—from Klaus Fischer to the Dzoker Syndicate in Stuttgart. The name was also changed: no longer FischerSolution II, but Dzoker—the name under which the gelding first made his mark in the sport.

Dzoker’s new rider, Catharina Dannemann, is also based in Stuttgart. The 23-year-old has been competing in eventing since 2016 and at the international level since 2020. Her first international horse was Horseware Nobleman, who was once ridden up to the CCI4* level by national team coach Peter Thomsen. Dannemann now competes internationally on five different horses and has achieved top-ten finishes up to the CCI3* level.

She has already made her debut with Dzoker. Last weekend, the pair competed against a field of 50 teams at the CCI2*-S in Langenhagen and finished 31st after a dressage score of 30.7 penalty points, 5.6 time penalties in the cross-country, and one knockdown in the show jumping.
