Charlotta Rogerson and Bonheur de la Vie won the Grand Prix Special at the Stuttgart German Masters in November.
Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de According to the Swiss magazine “Pferdewoche,” which cites a report from the association, Charlotta Rogerson’s horse—Bonheur de la Vie, the former Louisdor Prize winner trained by Sandra Nuxoll—is not in good condition.
Rogerson explained: “This decision was anything but easy for me. My horse isn’t 100 percent fit right now. My horse’s well-being always comes first for me—even if that means giving up my biggest athletic dream. However, my horse’s health and trust are more important than any championship. I look forward to returning stronger alongside Bonheur de la Vie. I sincerely wish the Swiss team a successful World Championship and am keeping my fingers crossed for them.”
Not a draw
We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed, because with Charlotta Rogerson’s absence, the team is losing its strongest pair—and she won’t be replaced. So the team won’t have a discard score. The riders are: Charlotte Lenherr on Dettori, Delia Eggenberger on Santa Maria, and Estelle Wettstein on Quaterboy.
